Rocky Mount Mills

As part of the historic renovation of a cotton mill, we installed rooftop units, outside air units, and heat pumps.

Value Delivered

We installed a high-quality HVAC distribution system that complemented the renovated Rocky Mountain Mill’s open ceiling concept.

Client Objectives

Capitol Broadcasting Company purchased the mill in 2007 and has since redeveloped it into a mixed-use campus of breweries, restaurants, lofts, offices, and more. They needed HVAC solutions throughout their renovated spaces.

Solutions

All spaces throughout the entire project were designed with an open ceiling concept, requiring our entire mechanical distribution system to remain exposed. This approach allowed us to show off our fine craftmanship and quality installation. Our mechanical solutions included:

  • Variable air volume packaged rooftop units
  • Constant volume packaged rooftop units
  • Dedicated outside air units
  • Split system heat pumps

Client Background

Rocky Mount Mills was the second cotton mill constructed in North Carolina in the 1800s, and has since been redeveloped into a mixed-use campus of breweries, restaurants, lofts, offices, and event spaces.
