Paul Thomas

President

Paul became President of Newcomb and Company in 2019. He joined the Company in 1987 as its first Controller and was then promoted to its Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, he managed the administrative functions of the company including finance, risk management, IT, human resources and regulatory compliance. As President he leads the management team at Newcomb and sets the vision for the Company. Paul seeks to nurture a culture of excellence in all that the Company does. He also wants to honor Newcomb’s long-standing commitment to the communities we serve.

Paul is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of Vistage, the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), as well as the state and national chapters of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). Paul is generous with his time in the community and has spent numerous hours as a community volunteer. He currently serves on the boards of the Tammy Lynn Center and the Methodist Home for Children.
